Let people join through their AI assistant. A person still approves the price.
Someone who wants to join can ask their AI assistant to sign them up. We're testing a way for that assistant to buy the membership on your site, with a person approving the exact price first. Test mode only: no real payments are being taken.

Nothing happens until you switch it on
Off until you turn it on
One switch for your site, "Let AI assistants buy memberships", and one on each membership, "Available to AI assistants". Both start off, so an assistant can only buy what you've chosen. It works on every MemberPress.ai plan, free included.
A normal purchase
A purchase made by an assistant is recorded in MemberPress as a normal MemberPress purchase. While it's in testing, it's charged through one payment gateway only, in test mode.

The assistant asks to buy
It can ask for any membership you've made available to AI assistants. Asking charges nothing.

A person approves the price
The buyer, signed in to your site, or you as the site's admin, approves the exact price. There's no setting that skips this step.

It lands in MemberPress
Only then is it charged and recorded. If the price changed after it was approved, the purchase is refused, so nobody pays an amount they didn't see.
The same rule for your MemberPress.ai account
Your own AI assistant can buy MemberPress.ai credits or a prepaid month of the paid plan, but only after you approve the exact price in the MemberPress.ai app.
- The assistant can't approve its own purchase.
- Each purchase is charged at most once.
Where it is today
- It's in testing. It runs in test mode only, no real payments are being taken, and it isn't on any site yet.
- Renewals aren't automatic yet. If the membership is a recurring one, an assistant's purchase records the first period only.
New members, on your terms
When it's ready, someone who wants to join can say so to the assistant they already use. You still choose what's for sale, and a person still says yes to every price. It's coming soon. Your site can take its first payment today the usual way, through your own payment account. This adds one more way in later.
